"Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress." - Psalm 107:6
Deliverance is mentioned all thru out the Bible. Jesus delivered many people from demonic forces during his physical time on earth and he still delivers many people today.
He does not only deliver people who are far away from him and live a sinful life, he also delivers people who are devoted Christians who are strong in their faith. Believing that Christians can not be tormented by demons is inaccurate. Satan HATES Christians and does everything in his power to lead us astray. You might hear many Christians say that demons can't affect them because they are Christians. What needs to be understood is that there is a difference between demon possession and demon oppression. Demons are very capable to torment and destroy your life even if you are a Christian. The thief comes only to kill and steal and destroy. John 10:10.
Many times, we don't even notice we are being tormented by a demon and just put it off as something in the physical or mentally. This goes for everyone. Do you notice you are having a difficult time with a certain sin, you are sick (physically or even mentally) You may have been to many doctors and they do not find anything. You may also find yourself problems with relationships or money problems. You just may have demons interfering with your life.
But thank God for our savior, our LORD Jesus Christ, who came to wash away our sins and deliver us from all evil!
Jesus is alive today to set us free from the strongholds that Satan has us bound. Jesus will breakdown the enemy and set us free! All you need to do is to accept the healing blood of Jesus to be set free.
With every sin, we maybe opening a door for demons to enter our lives.
Problems in Relationships, sicknesses, infirmities, sleep paralysis, anxiety, depression, voices and addictions are just a few issues that may have demonic influences behind it.
"Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation." - Mathew 12:45
The first step is seeking deliverance and confessing your sins to our LORD. God forgives us all of our sins if we confess and repent from our hearts.
We also ask for forgiveness of any sinful acts that our ancestors have done against God.
We will ask the Lord to break any generational curses and ungodly soul ties.
The next step is to forgive any one in your life that you need to forgive.
It is important to always ask for forgiveness and to repent. Keep your hearts clean and walk in obedience to the Lord.
The question "what is deliverance?" runs very deep and is not simply answered by a few sentences. I would like to encourage you to reach out so we can speak about it better.
